Afloat in fresh winds: Viko 30s in the YACHT test
35,500 euros is an announcement - you can't get a new 30-foot yacht for less. The price breaker from Poland in the YACHT test

The price alone makes it exceptional. No other boat on the market is as affordable as the Viko 30s. The basic version does not have an engine. But even with a built-in diesel engine, the Polish boat remains far below the entry-level prices of large series shipyards such as Bavaria, Beneteau, Delphia, Dufour, Hanse or Jeanneau.

In terms of appearance and space, owners get a modern, fresh and sporty-looking family yacht with a length of 9.27 metres. But does it fulfil expectations - or do you have to pay the price in terms of sailing performance, equipment and quality?

Fridtjof Gunkel, Head of Test & Technology at YACHT, got to the bottom of this question. He sailed the Viko in a fresh, gusty wind on the Baltic Sea. It was an encounter without surprises. The ship can "hardly be compared" with the entry-level models of the established companies. However, at the latest as an alternative to the favourable offers on the used boat market, it is "definitely exciting".
